Tony Christie is one of Britain’s best-loved traditional pop and easy-listening singers, renowned for his powerful, distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence.

He found major success in the early 1970s with hits including “Las Vegas,” “I Did What I Did for Maria” and his signature song, “(Is This the Way to) Amarillo?”. “Avenues and Alleyways” also became a memorable TV theme. After enjoying continued success across Europe, Christie experienced a remarkable career revival in 1999 with Jarvis Cocker’s “Walk Like a Panther.” In 2005, “Amarillo” was reissued for Comic Relief with Peter Kay, reaching UK No.1 and spending seven weeks at the top.
