Glasgow-based alternative band led by twins Rachael and Paul Swinton, Cloth blend angular alt-rock with deep electronic nuances. Their debut, Cloth (2019), garnered critical acclaim, including a nomination for the Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award. They have since gained recognition for their atmospheric sound and minimalist arrangements, drawing comparisons to The XX and Cocteau Twins. Their sophomore album, Secret Measure (2023), marked further evolution and was also shortlisted for the SAY Award.

The band has supported notable acts like Arab Strap, The Twilight Sad, and Aidan Moffat & RM Hubbert, and they’ve performed at iconic venues such as the Barrowland Ballroom. Their music was featured in the BBC series Normal People, and they've received airplay on BBC Radio 6 Music by Guy Garvey and Lauren Laverne

Delivering angular alt-rock cut through with deep electronic grooves, Cloth are a Glasgow three-piece comprising of twins Rachael and Paul Swinton and Clare Gallacher.

Named a 'Tip For 2020' by BBC Radio 1's Huw Stephens, in the last year the band have performed live sessions for the likes of Tom Robinson on BBC Radio 6 Music, Vic Galloway on BBC Radio Scotland, and appeared on the BBC Music Introducing Stage at Latitude Festival. After recording a live BBC Music Introducing session at the iconic BBC Maida Vale Studios in September 2019, Cloth released their highly anticipated self-titled debut album on Last Night From Glasgow on November 15th 2019.
