Danny Rampling is one of the most influential figures in British dance music, a pioneering DJ who helped shape the UK’s acid house and rave culture. He rose to prominence through London’s legendary Shoom club, which he founded in 1987 and is widely regarded as one of the key starting points of the acid house movement. His career has included residencies at influential clubs including Heaven, and he became a major force on the international DJ circuit. Rampling has also worked in radio, including BBC Radio 1, and remains celebrated for his role in bringing house music into the British mainstream.
