Heavy Wild
Heavy Wild
heavy wild has steadily carved out its own niche in the crowded London music scene creating not just a sound, but a world, for listeners to inhabit.
The release of debut EP ‘Death Dreams’ last year, and breakout single ‘Wasteland’, captured audiences with a confident, lo-fi sound and gothic aesthetic that feels unique amongst the current UK indie scene.
That release led to two UK tours, headline shows in New York, Paris & Berlin as well as sold out London shows at the Sebright Arms and the Old Blue Last and earned them support from the likes of Clash, Notion, EarMilk, The Line of Best Fit & So Young.
Now, heavy wild returns with blistering new single ‘Lonely Dawn’, an energetic, infectious track built around a scuzzy, insistent bassline, erratic guitar lines and swaggering vocal. The track, which explores themes of relationship breakdown and existential dread, sees the group developing its sound further from the echoes of Jesus & Mary Chain and Joy Division heard on the first EP into something bigger and bolder, marking the start of an exciting new chapter.
