Baby Dave, the solo project of Isaac Holman – one half of the punk duo Soft Play

Holman began Baby Dave during lockdown while Soft Play were on hiatus, which was a period he described as a personal reckoning.

Isaac said: “I started Baby Dave in lockdown whilst in the throes of a mental breakdown,” he says. “I was living with my parents and working as a gardener. I needed a creative outlet. I find writing for this project deeply therapeutic — I need to do it for my mental wellbeing.”
