Hue & Cry
Hue & Cry is a Scottish pop duo formed in 1983 by brothers Pat and Greg Kane. Known for their soulful vocals, jazz-influenced pop, and politically aware lyrics, they rose to fame in the late 1980s with hits like "Labour of Love" and "Looking for Linda." Their sound combines elements of blue-eyed soul, jazz, and synth-pop, distinguished by Pat's emotive vocal style and Greg's skillful arrangements. The duo's socially conscious themes and sophisticated compositions gained them a loyal following. They’ve continued to release music and tour over the decades, evolving their sound while staying true to their soulful roots.
