UNDER 18s OPEN MIC EVENT

New term, new Under 18s at The Forum...

Doors 4.30pm - 7.30pm

QUEUING

Two queues: audience and separate performer queues (monitored by security door team)

Audience doors: Come at 4.30pm to catch the guest band performance and guarantee entry. Pay on the door £5.00

Bag/coat checks in queues by SIA trained security team. No liquids please. Water taps to refill plastic bottles and soft drinks available inside. This is an alcohol free event for Under 18s. Zero tolerance for pre loading, attempting to bring alcohol or illegal substances into the venue = no entry. Please respect the event rules, the venue and the venue staff/volunteers so we can all have a great time.

PERFORMER SIGN UP

Bands: max 2 songs.** Solo artists **:1 song

Performers free entry from 5pm.

From 5pm: All band members must be present in the queue together to sign up to play as you could be allocated a slot at any time from 5.20pm to 7.20pm (times may vary). Time slots are allocated and chosen by the Forum tech team on a first come first served basis. We cannot reserve later slots, swap slots or sign up bands whose members are not all present.

We have made sign up later and extended the end time of performances to try and accommodate end of school/college times. Please do not skip school/college as the organised queues will not be in place until after post school finishing times.

At sign up: Please tell our tech team : - Band members and instruments - If you have brought a backing track on your phone - Number of songs

PERFORMING

You will be called to stage before your slot. Please be side stage with instruments tuned and ready as the act before you plays to meet our stage manager.

Stage set up: All mics, amps and drum kit provided. Bring your instruments and leads to plug in and play. No keyboard (bring your own if needed)

Above all, enjoy performing on the stage where many of your music heroes and festival headliners have performed: Green Day, Coldplay, Oasis, Wolf Alice, Idles, Soft Play, Rag N Bone Man, Muse, Adele, Foals, Enter Shikari, Royal Blood...the list goes on. Our stage manager, sound engineer and lighting tech will help you onstage and make you sound and look great through our in house pa and full lighting system just like the bands above. Our under 18s audience are really supportive and encouraging so enjoy that too!

The following drum equipment will be on stage plus snare, hi hat and cymbals. Full drum kit and backline supplied

No alcohol will be available during the event for over 18s.
