Emerging in the early 1990s, East 17 blended pop and hip-hop with a gritty edge that set them apart from other groups of the era. Formed in 1991 in Walthamstow, London, the group achieved significant success with hits like "Stay Another Day," which reached No. 1 in the UK, as well as "House of Love" and "It's Alright." They sold over 20 million records worldwide in 1995, they were nominated for a Brit Award.
