Brant Bjork is a seminal figure in the desert rock and stoner rock scenes. He gained prominence as the drummer and co-founder of the influential band Kyuss, known for pioneering the desert rock genre with their heavy, psychedelic sound. Bjork later joined Fu Manchu, contributing to their groove-laden stoner rock vibe. In recent years, Bjork has fronted a new trio, Brant Bjork and The Bros, continuing to blend elements of funk, blues, and rock with a laid-back, desert-infused flair. His solo work and collaborations reflect a deep, authentic connection to the desert’s musical landscape, solidifying his legacy as a rock icon.

In 2023 the band is the lean and mean Brant Bjork Trio featuring Ryan Güt on drums and old friend and desert rock pioneer Mario Lalli on bass guitar.
