They started at the Forum as part of the Under 18s Open Mic Night, and have gone on to play Stable Nights as well as supporting bands such as Suncharmer and The Polygons. Their music is a mix of indie-pop and acoustic music.Inspired by the social soundscapes of Phoebe Bridgers, Bilie Eilish and fellow Sussex songwriter, Maisie Peters, Ash aspires to transform sadness into beauty and hopes their music can help those in similar situations find comfort.
