Introspective noisy rock for the heavy hearted. Formed initially as Nod in 1993, the journey of this band has seen many changes, in genre and concept throughout an experimental range of alternative rock, goth, punk and metal.

The last ten years in particular has seen Word of Nod embrace a much heavier sound from the earlier experimental indie goth rock leaning towards a sludge alternative metal and their current set is noisy, groovy, intense and powerful. Inspired by 70s and 80s metal, punk, and post punk through to the alternative sounds of LA and Seattle of the late 80s/ early 90s, landing in the lap of a more recent alternative progressive metal. Never shying away from emotive dark material, Word of Nod are matured but have a sense of the absurd and the surreal that will demand your attention.
