"Hi there! My name is Ash Dodd, and I'm a 17 year-old singer-songwriter from East-Sussex, England. My genre of music can be best described as a mix of teenage-angst and pop, taking influence from people such as Cavetown, Maisie Peters, the 1975, the Beatles, and Phoebe Bridgers. I'm currently planning on recording music in 2022..

I started music at age 6, playing violin (albeit not very well), and started singing in school choirs around age 10. I first started publicly singing at a school concert when I was 12, much to the surprise of my mum, who until the moment that I started singing thought that I was going to be playing my violin!

I started writing songs soon after I started learning the guitar at age 13. To describe my music in the fewest words possible, I would say that it reflects how it feels for a teenager to grow up in today's climate, still trying to figure out the ins and outs of the world. There's a lot of teenage-angst, but to say that that is all it is would be completely wrong, as I write about some of the more hard-hitting topics that come with growing up, as well, such as anxiety and mental health."
