Message from band >> Tunbridge Wells, we're so sorry but we're having to cancel this Friday's show at The Forum due to illness. Ourselves and the promoter have worked as hard as we can to find an alternative date to reschedule to, but our efforts weren't successful. We have to cancel and refund any tickets.

This does not affect any other tour dates, and we thank you for understanding

Line Up

Brothers Lee and Nick Meldrum burst onto the garage punk scene in January 2016. It’s been a high octane year for Brighton two-piece SONS, who have recently signed to emerging punk label Till Deaf Do Us Party (Frauds/ Night Owls).

Darlings of incendiary rock n’ roll club night This Feeling, all three singles have been heavily rotated by indie/rock radio luminaries Huw Stephens, John Kennedy, Alex Baker and Tom Robinson - as well as impressing the likes of Clash, GigSlutz and Vents Magazine. They have two live radio sessions under their belt, for Radio X and BBC Introducing.

Meanwhile, the band have taken their cacophonous live set on the road, gigging up and down the country with highlight sets at The Great Escape, Camden Rocks and most recently Reading Festival 2017.

With explosive vocal melodies and buzzsaw riffs that could wake the dead, if you like it loud, you’ll love SONS. FFO Nirvana, Drenge, The Wytches and Slaves.

“Every single tune they put out is a total punk banger isn’t it?" Alex Baker, Kerrang! Radio.

“Sounding fantastic!... It’s yet another winner from SONS! A dynamic duo from Brighton!” John Kennedy, Radio X.

"Championed by BBC Introducing" Huw Stephens R1.

“I love angry music and that is expertly done...” Phil Taggart, BBC Radio 1.

"It’s kind of noisy, it’s got heavy riffs and I love it!" Georgie Rogers, Virgin Radio.

"Fierce guitars, really dirty and noisy...” Melita Dennett, BBC Introducing South.

“Righteous guitar noise!! The rama-lama riffing is set against a hollering vocal that forces you out of your seat” Clash Music.

"What a year it’s been for Brighton’s garage punktastic soul brothers SONS with a flurry of monster new singles" GigSlutz Edit

Kicking off in the local music scene around Eastbourne and Hastings in 2015; Alibi continuously perform around East Sussex ramping up a large following, especially with the release of their live album “Vice Versa”. Already with a catalog of great tracks after 18 monthsof being together, Alibi have furiously broken out of the norm of most local musicians with the release of their music video for “Everybody Thinks I'm Lonely”, as well as appearances on youtube based channels such as Live in the Living Room and other projects that are coming soon

Moving away from covers of The Human Beinz, The band has successfully in the past year became its own original concept, drawing influence from garage 60’s Rock music and the notion of original songwriting that has captivated fans across the county of East Sussex. Their debut EP “Alibi” released in late 2015 is exclusively made up of live tracks that were well received by both fans and critics; which offers a professionally recorded first EP of what the boys at Alibi can produce. Their second release, a live album titled “Vice Versa” released later on in early 2016 brings brand new and innovative material from the band with songs such as “Viscous Trinity” and “You’ve Made a Fool”. Vice Versa best defines the amount of progression the band has made within 12 months, and also represents Alibi’s unique style that is expressed throughout the album and the artwork, which was created by Jessica Steele with insert photography by Charlie Richards. Fopr 2017 Alibi are working on a new EP and already looking busy with gigs and festivals already firmly in the diary.

Alibi are Maxi Williams, Lead Vocal and Rhythm Guitarist. Matt Edwards, Lead Guitar and Vocals. Benji Meacham, Bass Guitar and Vocals. And Wesley Brown on Drums
