Kent based Tarot Rats may be surrounded by the beautiful British countryside but they are certainly not quaint. With their unique take on blues-rock, the Rat's offer an eclectic mix of full-on, over-driven riffs combined with stripped back, soulful acoustic melodies.
Drawing from a spectrum of influences which include Led Zepp, Sabbath, the Beatles, David Bowie, Guns n'Roses and many, many more, Tarot Rats provide a colourful mosaic of musical variety.
Managed by the excellent Rock People Management and with a new EP soon to land, the Mischief very much have the future ahead of them.
Tarot Rats are:
Tim Hill - Lead Vocals
Johnny Hammond - Guitar
Chris Sansom - Guitar
Adrian Smither - Bass
Alex Ribchester - Drums
“10/10” is how Midlands Rocks rates Empyre’s latest EP ‘Something Remains’. Rock and Roll simply describe it as “Brilliant”. A good start, but Empyre want more, and it’s hard to satisfy an inherent existential nihilism that runs through the veins of songwriters Henrik and Did.
Empyre is a British rock band with influences ranging from the sound of Seattle in the 90s, and dirty blues rock to more atmospheric and acoustic music. Their foundations are based on rock vocals and striking guitar riffs, but that’s not to say that Empyre only play rock n’ roll.
Mid 2016 has seen the arrival of a new backline in the form of Drummer Jack Bowles and Bassist Dan Grannum leading to the re-launch of the band.
