After hibernating for twenty years (where did the time go!?)

Britpop favourites, Sleeper are back on the road, performing live. Original members: Louise Wener (vocs, guitar), Jon Stewart (guitar) and Andy Maclure (drums) are newly joined by Kieron Pepper (previously of The Prodigy) on bass.

Sleeper enjoyed huge critical and commercial success in the mid 90's: achieving 8 Top 40 singles across 3 Top 10 albums with well over 1,000,000 sales. The band also had two tracks featured on the era defining soundtrack to 'Trainspotting': named as one of the best film soundtracks of all time by the likes of Rolling Stone.

Sleeper garnered front covers across the music press and appeared numerous times on key music shows of the time like TFI Friday, Jools Holland and Top Of The Pops: an episode of which Louise Wener presented.

Together, the band played the main stages of Reading, Glastonbury, V etc along with sold out touring across all of the UK and a support slot with REM at Milton Keynes Bowl.

The band's first headline show in 19 years was a sold out date at Shepherd's Bush Empire last December, followed by a sell-out UK tour this spring. Their music is characterized by astute, observational lyrics and big, hook driven melodies. With a headline UK tour in November, a new album to follow and huge affection for the band across the media, 2018 is the year Sleeper awakes.

She Makes War is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist producer and visual artist Laura Kidd.

Blending urgent indie rock with melancholy torch songs, SMW completed recording her fourth album this summer and since then has been busy recording guest vocals on The Levellers’ 30th anniversary album, taking part in a British Council cultural exchange in Indonesia and preparing for her fourth European tour by train.

“A fearless performer matching Marika Hackman’s edgier singer songwriter style with Wolf Alice at their most grungy” – Music Radar UK

“The emotional resonance of Elliott Smith colliding with the barbed vigour of Sleater-Kinney” – Gigwise

She Makes War has received press support from Clash Magazine, Rock Sound, Line Of Best Fit, DIY, The Quietus, Gigwise and Louder Than War, amongst others. Singles from her last album ‘Direction Of Travel’ received national airplay on 6Music (Marc Riley Steve Lamacq, Lauren Laverne, Tom Robinson, Gideon Coe), XFM (John Kennedy), Kerrang (Alex Baker) and Amazing Radio (Shell Zenner and Jim Gellaghtly) – in addition she was invited to play a live band session on Marc Riley’s 6 Music show.
