MUFFIN are a grunge rock 5-piece from Leeds formed in November 2016.

Taking influences from your favourite band, MUFFIN have released a handful of singles since their inception, ‘Dinosaur’, ‘The Bird In The Cage’ and ‘Superhero’ and have played various venues and festivals all around the UK. Their explosive live show is certainly not one to miss as they continue to make noise up and down the country.

Their new single 'Welcome To The Modern Age' will be available on all platforms on January 26th, in support of their gig at 360 Club, Leeds on February 2nd for Independent Venue Week 2018.

‘Oozing with confidence and attitude, MUFFIN’s performance was quite unforgettable’ - The Gryphon

‘I might even suggest that the band replace their description of their sound with one word - MUFFIN’ - Local Sound Focus

"MDMA is damn near the perfect track to break onto the scene with and it really announces the 'Mux' name with vigour and raw aggression. It's experimental, it's gritty, it's dirty, it's thick, it's bolstered and it really has this dark edge to it that cuts straight through you." - String Buzz World

"Mux take you on a riveting complex journey through their proficient composition and exquisite craftsmanship" - Indie Buddie

"...we’ll just have to wait for their first music video for MDMA, which will be dropping mid-March. I, for one, am stoked to see it!" - Bucketlist

What if... you were raised listening to rock music, but you also love the gnarly sound of a 303 bass synth line? This is the dilemma Tiz had to go through while producing MUX’ first songs; but the solution was actually easy (and probably dumb): for weeks he listened to White Stripes in his right ear and Aphex Twin in his left... at the same time.

Aptly described as “electro-stoner”, MUX blends elements of electronica, stoner, trip-hop and punk. Recommended If You Like: Alt-J, Atoms For Peace, Massive Attack, The Dead Weather, Battles, White Stripes, Chelsea Wolfe, SUUNS.

MUX is: Tiz, Paul, and Jonas. The band officially started in the summer of 2016 when Tiz and Paul (drums) met in Brighton, while shopping for souvenirs. They started fighting over a seashell ashtray and ended talking about Kendrick Lamar’s latest album. A couple of months later, the pair met Jonas (Guitar) at a Mac DeMarco concert in Camden. Jonas was headbanging harder than everyone else.

The new EP ’Can you see who?’ is to be released at the beginning of May 2017, and will mark the first release for the band: 100% independent. The EP will be anticipated by their first video.. ‘MDMA’.

Nocturne Blonde

Taking influence from the likes of Radiohead, Wolf Alice, The War on Drugs and The Smiths, Rattlesnake create a unique sound. Formed while at school in their hometown they started just playing in pubs locally before taking their music to venues across the county and into London. Their debut release - Look Away EP - was released in December 2017.
