Click here to listen to Cosmic Thoughts Cosmic Thoughts has been a project for seven years and based in Kent, UK. Musically influenced by minimalist composers, bands and artists that have used repetition extensively in their work. Be it Steve Reich, Neu, Women, Underworld or Electrelane. Naturally drawn to the workman-like ‘hammering’ of motifs and ostinatos, and vocally this is no different. You will find phrases based in pop, but used like circular riffs as opposed to developing larger narratives. What we hope is to develop a larger, broader consistency to the work as a whole. It all comes under the same shadow, and the performance and composition deals with the larger subject matter, but responds to each song with appropriate tone, dynamic and texture.

The project was born from the hardcore bands November Coming Fire, Man Hands and The Murder Of Rosa Luxembourg in 2010, and has carried on developing and recording, releasing two EP’s and an LP (on Hot Salvation Records) in 2014
